CÉRVOLES NEGRE

Power, volume and
elegance

Tempranillo, Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Barrel fermented and aged 12 months in New French oak.

Denomination of Origin Costers del Segre, Les Garrigues.

Several vineyards (Gravera, Txel and Sorts Vell vineyards) fill the mountain scene, offering us a mosaic drawing. Various orientations and altitudes grant a potential capable to achieve an optimal ripening on the grapes, always maintaining a relevant freshness.

Cold skin macerations guarantee its fruity balance. One year ageing in tonneau of 4000L (Grenache) and in new French oak barrels from various cooperies (Radoux, Dargaud&Jaegle, Saury…) gives a long ageing potential to this wine, with an elegant profile to be enjoyed from its bottling.

Mountain Viticulture located at an altitude between 700 and 800 metres, at the foothills of the Serra de la Llena, natural border within Priorat region and Serra del Montsant, an area in contrast between Mediterranean and Continental climate. Scarce rain average and always soft winds guarantee healthy conditions to the vineyards. The soil structure has a great water retention, rich in gravels and with an exceptional marly texture for quality viticulture. The elevation of our vineyards and the temperature contrast in Garrigues region impacts on the grape skin thickness, enabling the concentration of anthocyanins and tannins, whilst enhancing acidity and freshness.
